Lat Stretches

To stretch these big muscles in your upper back you can do the following exercise just before you tee off:

1. Start with the same stance as the first exercise with your feet shoulder width apart.

2. Now raise your right arm and reach behind your head to touch your left shoulder.

3. Gain your left hand behind the elbow to increase the stretch. You should be able to reach down to your shoulder blade.

4. Hold for ten seconds, then switch. After you have stretched both sides, shake your arms out to keep them loose.


Chest Stretches

To stretch out your chest you'll need to try to open it up. This is an important one, one of the best exercises for golf because it is often overlooked and if your chest is tight it will hurt your form on the course quite a bit.

2. Then try to pull them forward while rolling your shoulders back at the same time. This will stretch your chest as if you were trying to open up your rib cage. This is good for the muscles but it is also very important to promote proper breathing.
