Golf Club Loft Checklist
Golf club loft information and a checklist for determining the proper lady golf clubs loft, plus the rules of thumb. Loft is the angle of the club face in relation to the shaft. A good club loft creates a good sweetspot - the portion of the club face where you can hit the ball well - and therefore the club is more forgiving. Higher loft, higher ball flight, less distance
 Less loft, lower ball flight, more distance | Loft is being measured in degrees, but can vary when you compare name brands. For each higher club number add about 4 degrees loft. A wedge for example has a high angle - between 52 and sometimes even 64 degrees. Keep in mind that different brands can use different golf club standard loft angles for the same club number. The angle of a 5-iron of one brand can be 29 degrees and another manufacturer could have create a 5-iron of let's say 30 degrees. |
What Is The Proper Loft In Degrees For Lady Golf Clubs? The right golf club degree of loft for you depends on three important factors: - Your swingspeed;
- Your swing;
- The club head form and material.
Lady golfers with a slow swing speed and beginners: choose for high loft. Beginners often say that they are hitting the best with a 7-iron or 9-iron. Ergo: the loft is higher, the club forgives mishits and you create more backspin. Women with a fast swing speed: select golf clubs with less loft for more distance. This regards actually every advanced player who are able to control their clubs. Golf club loft and distance: If you choose for a huge club head of hard material (e.g. woods) then you create more backspin. In that case you could choose for a few degrees less loft to make more distance in stead of a high ball flight and less distance. Only consider this when you are sure about your play, because lady golf clubs with less loft are more difficult to control. Checklist Golf Club Loft
| Swingspeed. Check out the speed of your swing. Slow: choose for high lofted lady golf clubs. Fast: lower loft. |

| Club heads. Large head sizes and hard material, e.g. titanium: take a few degrees less low for more distance. Note: the golf ball arc will be a bit lower.

| Favourite club. If you want to purchase another club number: remember the loft of your favourite club and add or decrease 4 degrees for a higher or lower club number to get the proper golf club loft.
