Junior Golf Set - Length Checklist
The junior golf set shaft length is very important when you are considering lady golf clubs and equipment for juniors. Here is my checklist. There are different sizes available for female juniors and selecting girls or kids woods and irions that are long enough to use comfortably is a major factor. |
The ideal length for younger golfers to use should allow for a little growth. Yes, this tip is equal to more kids stuff for on the fairways and greens and very cost efficient too :-)

Check to see that the lady golf clubs clubs are not awkward or too long when the junior is demonstrating their swing and follow through. If their hands have to be moved down the grip a good bit the length of the junior golf set is probably too long and you should try a shorter size.

Choking down on the grip by a girl is perfectly acceptable but if the choke grip they are using is 2 inches or more it is too much. Your pro sure can help when you are hesitating about how you let them choking down, and about the effect.

Special choke grips of more than 2 inches will create a big difference in the swing and follow through. If a younger player is using a choke grip on their clubs it should be no more than 1 inch. The same goes for elder people, but I will discuss that in another section. This is the size that will let them perform a normal swinging motion. The woods, irons and putter that can accommodate this grip are long enough to be used for at least two seasons. Because the equipment allows for a little growth as I mention in my first check tip.
