Stop Golf Slices: Downslope Shots Checklist
My Stop Golf Slices Checklist to help you to hit with lady golf clubs and make downslope shots properly without a golf slice.
1. Get a lob wedge or take the ladies golf club with the highest loft.
2. Address the golf ball towards your back foot, the foot that is higher.
3. Anchor yourself as comfortable as possible into the hill with your front foot, the lower foot.
4. The golf grip: choke your hands further down than normal. Your grip should be relaxed to prevent slicing.
5. Aim the head of your lady golf club and your body to the left of the target. Try to hold your head to the same distance to the ball all the time.
6. Hold your shoulders parallel to the slope of the hill.
7. Bend your knees more than usual. Keep it that way thoughout the whole swing. This is the secret of hitting a ball at a downhill slope and to stop golf slices. The slope forces you to rise up and bending your knees will prevent that.
8. Keep your weight as much as possible on your back foot.
9. Hinge your wrists when you swing back more than normal.
Try to follow the line of the hill slope.
Otherwise you will hit in the ground.
The same goes for the down swing.
10. Hit the back of the ball for a high flight.
11. In the followthrough push the ladies golf club face down the slope, this last step to stop golf slices.
