Utility Woods Checklist
Utility woods descriptions that can be used as checklist for choosing the proper trouble and rescue woods. Almost all golf sets have a high lofted 7-wood and a 9-wood. Sometimes there's also an 11-wood.
The main features of these woods are larger sweetspots - hitting areas - than irons, so it's easier for you to get the ball airborne. The broad soles of the utility woods are designed to glide along the ground, for a better ball contact. Most avid lady golfers have a Driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 7-wood and 9-wood in their lady golf club sets.

Utility Wood Descriptions |
| 7-wood |
Very popular with woman golfers. This wood will help you in many difficult situations. For example, the 7-wood is great out of the rough! Loft: 23 to 26 degrees. Longer and more used than the traditional 4-iron. Creates more speed for a higher ball flight and thus greater distances. Recommended for all wood golf sets. |
| 8-wood |
Rare, women rather use a 7-wood or 9-wood, because there's not very much difference in loft.
|
| 9-wood |
Popular wood with much loft: 27 to 29 degrees. Used in stead of long irons. Great out of the rough, and also useful out of a bunker. Recommended for all golf sets. |
11-wood up to 15-wood |
Have lofts between 29 to nearly forthy degrees - that's very close to wedges. Used by lady golfers who actually don't want to play with irons. Also called Hybrids.

Good luck with choosing the right utility lady golf clubs to rescue you or to get you out of trouble.
